Agency staff are available 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday EST. All calls and emails are returned in the order they are received. KBC administrative staff receive a high volume of calls July through August. We encourage our license holders and applicants to email us for inquires on licensure or if you are having technical issues or have questions please send an email to kbc@ky.gov
Personal licenses will be mailed to the address you have provided to the Board through your portal.
Salon/School/Limited Facility licenses will be emailed for printing.
Salon/School/Limited Facility inspection sheets will be emailed for printing and must be posted per 12:060.
If you are concerned about the status of your license, please login to your account to review your expiration date. Please allow for a 72 hour business response time.
Please note:
The status of your license does not indicate your employment status or use of the license.
As of June 15th 2023, there are two statuses for licenses: "renewed" (active) or "not renewed" (inactive). Licenses that show an expired status are no longer renewable.
Please note that KBC does not have the option to place a license account in either a "retired" or "escrow" status.
